Student Aid
Student assistance is provided through the Canada and Quebec student loans programs. Canada student loans are available only to Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Most provinces have complementary loans and loan remission programs for Canadian residents requiring financial assistance. In addition, universities and various private-sector organizations offer scholarships to students of exceptional ability or need.
There are a few award programs, such as the Government of Canada Awards Program and the Organization of American States Fellowships Programs, that are designed specifically for international students. Some individual institutions have also developed their own scholarship programs. Some scholarships are available to students from countries that have bilateral agreements with Canada or certain provinces. The Canadian International Development Agency and the United Nations are other sources of financial support.
However since the awards used to different from one university to the other one, for more information about the exact range of awards please refer to each university web site
